Unfortunately at this time of the year, each match needs a winner or a loser. This weekend we had Grand Final matches for:
35/09
AA11
AA16a
WIL02 (Womens Intermediate League)
and a Preliminary final for the MIL01 (Mens Intermediate League)
The 35/09 delivered the first win of the weekend with a 2-1 victory over Marrickville at Blair Park. This was followed by a close match where our AA11 team, unfortunately, lost 2-1 to Leichardt Saints, the AA16a finished the afternoon up with a 3-2 win against Ashfield Pirates during extra time at Bennett Park.
The warm weather of Sunday brought a 1-0 victory against Marrickville for the WIL02 at Strathfield Park, while the MIL01 progresses to a Grand Final next weekend after beating Enfield 2-1 at Campbell Park.
To reach a Grand Final, win or lose, is a major achievement over the entire season, so the club wants to congratulate all our
teams who played in finals fixtures over the weekend.
