Female Coach of the Year!

Burwood FC congratulates Tara O’Connell for being named Football Canterbury’s inaugural Grassroots Female Coach of the Year.

Tara is now a finalist for the NSW Coach of the Year announced in November.

A long-time player and coach at the Club, Tara guided our Under 19 Women’s team to become undefeated Premiers this season.

Tara has also worked with local schools  throughout the inner west coaching kids, as well as the Club’s junior players.

She’s led the way for a growing cohort of young talented coaches at Burwood who are contributing to their community.
