INSURANCE – SPORTS INJURIES
Whilst the Club has several insurance policies of particular interest is the Personal Accident and Sporting Injury Policy. This cover for players, coaches, referees and officials provides benefits for claims arising from temporary or permanent disability. Any injury sustained whilst playing which requires medical and or dental care must follow an explicit procedure. Please note that not every eventuality is covered and Private Health Insurance is recommended.
All injuries sustained on the day must be reported to the Secretary. You will be given an insurance form to be filled in and returned to the Secretary as soon as possible. You must see a General Practitioner (GP) and obtain a referral for further treatment. If you do not follow this procedure your claim will not be approved. Injuries sustained during the game should be written on the match card.
MANAGERS MUST MAKE THEIR PLAYERS AWARE OF THE CURRENT LEVEL OF INSURANCE COVER.
