Registration for 2012 Season

In 2012 Burwood FC will be accepting online registrations for all players. More details and our instructions for completing the online registration via the FFA MyFootballClub website are available on our registration page.

Registration days to complete your registration, produce ID (new players), and purchase shorts, socks, and shin-pads will be held February 4, 5, and 11 at Blair Park Queen St Croydon from 10am to 4pm each day.

The season starts on Saturday March 31. Instructions for online registrations are here. Register and pay by February 11 so we can arrange teams. Grading sheets need to be submitted by the end of February.

Based on experience to date we strongly recommend you use the online registration option at home outside of the weekend 10am to 4pm times as traffic on the myfootballclub website makes registration slow in these peak times.

If you are wanting to play in a higher age group, register in your regular age group and put a comment in the Team Request field in the additional questions part of the online registration form.

Coaches and Team Managers can now also register online. Select non-player role when adding registration. No payment is required.

Are you over age 13 and want to be a referee in 2012?

Interested in becoming a referee with the Canterbury and Districts Soccer Referees Association (CDSRA)? Refereeing can be enjoyable and very rewarding. To be a referee, you have to start by completing a Referee Entrance Course. Dates have been confirmed for Referee Entrance Courses for 2012. They are as follows: Saturday, February 11 2012 ; Saturday, February 25 2012 ; Saturday, March 10 2012. As an interested applicant, you only need to attend one of these dates to complete the course. Once the course is successfully completed, you are ready to referee Canterbury Football Association matches. Only 30 applicants will be allowed to participate in each course, therefore seats are very limited. Seats at the courses will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Sydney FC Junior Blues free membership

Sydney FC are again offering free memberships to junior football players for the upcoming A-League season. If a child was a registered player in the CDSFA this year, and under 12, then you can sign them up for a free season pass to all of Sydney FC’s home games (usually played at the Sydney Football Stadium). To sign up click here.

You will need your FFA number which can be found on the MyFootballClub website.

Training times and Wet Weather process

The training schedule has been drafted and can be accessed under the teams > training menu.  Link http://burwoodfc.com.au/training.asp .  Please keep off goal mouths when they are wet and minimise training in the goal mouths throughout the year to ensure they are kept in good shape for the weekends.  Never train when the ground closed sign is up - we risk our park hire if you do.  Wet weather hotlines - Blair 9078 6170   Centenary 8752 1506.
